Shimmer - Emma DiMarco
Format : Digital LP
Release date: May 30, 2025
Shimmer is an epic saxophone celebration a decade in the making. Dr. Emma Di Marco is one of Australia’s most prominent saxophone soloists and a champion of new Australian music. On Shimmer, Emma performs a collection of incredible new works for saxophone, predominantly commissioned by and written for her, which traverse the incredible timbral and textural range of the instrument. Ranging from playful waltzes and rollicking gypsy jazz to post-tonal inventions and electroacoustic soundscapes, Emma’s technically thrilling and deeply expressive playing breathes vivid life into each work.
